Die Hard: Drive Hard
Drive Hard was designed as a promotional game for the new Die Hard movie. The goal was to create a fast paced action game that was accessible and challenging.
We worked with our friends at tedperez.com to rapidly develop this under a very tight deadline. Ted Perez came to THUP with an art direction and a game concept, and we provided game design refinement and full development. The entire project took just under 5 weeks, from design doc to final QA.

Given the short schedule, we did some liberal genre mixing to get the job done. The result is part Spy Hunter, part Space Invaders -- it's a vertical scroller with plenty of civilian cars to avoid and various enemies (cars, trucks, motorcycles and helicopter) bent on the player's destruction. A simple but aggressive AI provides a steady stream of explosions, keeping the game nicely in line with the movie
